A lightweight 18 inch stainless steel ruler with a cork backing. The cork grips the paper so the ruler does not slip, and lifts the metal edge slightly clear of the surface, which helps stop ink creeping underneath when you rule lines with a pen.
Long enough for ruling up full sheets, and equally at home as a straight edge for trimming and cutting on a mat.
